Short description
A gothic PvP autobattler. Build a board of werewolves, vampires and monster hunters, arm them with items, then watch it fight another player's board. Halfway through every fight the midnight bell tolls and the monsters turn.
About the game
Midnight Bell is a gothic PvP autobattler. Between fights you recruit werewolves, vampires or monster hunters, arm them with items and arrange your board. Then it fights another player's board on its own while you watch. Win ten duels before your Bloodline runs out.
Each fight represents one day, and is 24 seconds at normal speed. At midnight the bell tolls and the monsters turn. Werekin transform into their animal forms. Vampyr's loyal wardens give way to their vampire lords and ladies. Jaeger exploit weaknesses. If both heroes are still standing at dawn, the sun burns them until one falls.
Each night you choose which doors to open: a merchant, a hunt, a rite at the altar or a bargain in the crypt. Two copies of a card combine into a higher tier. Each time your hero levels up you swear an Oath that changes how your board fights. Lose a duel and you pick a Scar for one of your allies, a trade-off it carries for the rest of the run.
Features
- Every fight changes at midnight, when werewolves and vampires take their night forms
- Three houses at launch, with 150 allies and 330 items between them
- Fight other players' saved boards with no queues or timers, and replay any fight
- 35 to 75 minute runs that you can quit and resume any time
- No paid heroes or modes; two more houses are coming as free updates
